In our finale concert of the season, we bring the focus back to our late founder, Maestro Kerry Stratton, and the special relationship he had with the city of Prague. Kerry and Elizabeth were married in Prague, and it was one of his favourite cities to visit and revisit - a soft spot he shared with many musicians of history. We travel through time to bring you the various giants who have strolled the cobblestone streets of Prague, including Beethoven, and Dvorak. We round out this concert with a new commission from Composer in Residence Samuel Bisson “Divergimento” for string orchestra, and Kerry’s favourite “good-bye summer” song, Last Rose of Summer,
sung for us by Allison Arends.
